In July 2019 I was approached by the editor of a magazine called Being. They asked if I would be willing to contribute a photo story to their very first issue. Coincidentally, a friend had invited me to a creative retreat in the middle of Finland, so it seemed I had the perfect story.

I struggled slightly initially trying to find a more observational narrative within the collective of people at the retreat. After a lengthy conversation with Adam, an American on a spiritual pilgrimage, I decided that looking inward was the best way to go, especially considering this was a wellbeing magazine.
